A Clean House!

Woke up this morning to my usual alarm clock - a little voice over the monitor. What a cutie.  My week has felt quite busy so I decided to stay put today. It's also been a LONG week. Two nights (one being now) Matt has been working with my dad so he gets home late. It's so weird when he's not here after work. For some strange reason though I seem to get more done when I know he's not going to be home. My house is SPICK AND SPAN! Woot!!! I'll be so glad when he's here finally. I am not a needy wife, but I love to be with my man.
So, even though my house is clean I still have these lingering jobs in the back of my head. Here they are incase you're curious:

Finish Presley's one year album...hahaha (I think I have 9 months to go!)
Write my dear friend in Canada a letter (she won't get on the computer...we're the same age!)
Reorganize my mail/bills/paperwork
Clean out the entry way closet AGAIN...I seriously JUST did this and it's a disaster already.
Find a solution to my entertainment center's lack of dvd storage
Get Presley's big girl carseat in place
Clean out our spare bedroom

We're having a garage sale in May and I cannot wait to get all my accumulating stuff OUT OF HERE! We are getting rid of a TON. It's going to be awesome!! Unfortunately, not having a basement leaves us with a heap in our spare room. Ugh. I hate clutter!
Speaking of clutter, here is my cleaning tip for those of you who have clutter and don't know what to do with it.
*Invest in baskets, storage ottomans, or filing cabinets! Or go cheap and use shoe boxes, plastic bins, or laundry baskets.
This comes from my mom, the queen of housekeeping. She's always saying, "if you don't have time to clean up something, throw it in this and go through it later, at least it's not everywhere". Brilliant I say! It works wonders when you are in a hurry or you just need to get the house looking put together. If you ever come to my house you will see my collection of baskets. You may think "her house is always put together"...that's what I WANT you to think! Just don't look in my baskets! :O) This theory also works great if you have kids. The storage ottoman is my best friend for all of Presley's little toys! Again, if you put this tip to use, make sure you actually go through them once in awhile or you'll have overflowing baskets which is just as bad as the original clutter!

Enough about cleaning.
I am so excited that tomorrow is Friday!! I'm thinking about getting dinner out and bringing it home (we are such home bodies!) and watching a movie. I cannot wait! I hope the weather this weekend is supposed to be like today. I think I saw cloudy on Saturday...bleck! It was soooo wonderful to get outside with Presley to take a walk and play with the dog. The birds were singing and the crocuses were bloomed!

Spring has sprung!
Easter is in the air...remember the reason for the season!

Salutations!

Last Night's Dinner

Pork Steaks
I tossed them in the crockpot frozen and threw some bbq sauce on it. Turned it on low for 7-8hrs.

Roasted Potato Wedges
Cut up about 8ish potatoes and put them on a pan. Threw some drizzles of olive oil on them, shakes of salt, pepper and garlic powder. Oven preheated 450. Baked for 30-40minutes flipping them about half way through to make them brown

Green Beans
Open can, rinse, drain, heat

Miss Presley ate this with us. Matt was doing P90X so he was careful not to eat too much before working out. I shredded the leftover pork steaks, added more bbq sauce and wahlah he had a pulled pork sandwhich for later.

Bon Appetit!

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

Howdy! You are reading my new blog! Are you sure you want to join me? Positive? Here's your chance to stop! OOOOK! No turning back now!

My recent discovery about myself:  I give "advice" to people whether they ask for it or not. Some of you are thinking, "RECENT DISCOVERY?" Yes, yes I know. Pretty annoying right? Well, I've finally arrived!
On that note, I'd like to invite you to read my two cents worth at your own leisure (or maybe not at all!). Being as I like to share these "valuable" opinions so quickly and easily I figured I might as well expel them with my fingers and let your ears have a rest.
